Super Star Car Wash’s expansion surge shows no signs of slowing, nor are its efforts to differentiate itself from its competitors.

Within the last two weeks, the express wash operator has opened new locations in Tucson, Arizona, Mesquite, Texas, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Colorado Springs location is the 110th location for the company founded in 1993 in Chandler, Arizona, and ninth in Colorado.

“The last year was monumental in regards to growth for our company and the 110th site opening is a huge milestone for us. Plus, a wonderful way to kick off this new year,” Nicole Rodriguez, Vice President of Marketing for Super Star Car Wash, told Car Wash Daily News.

“We are looking forward to a relatively steady pace of openings in 2025 so that we can continue to focus on offering the same great customer service, ensuring all sites are operating to their best efficiency and really becoming more ingrained in our communities.”

In the past, Super Star has made acquisitions of other brands but of late has seemed to focus on new store development. Its recent spate of new site openings has been a mix.

“It really depends on each individual market; what’s currently out there and where there are gaps to be filled,” Rodriguez said.

“In Dallas, Texas, for example, they had the infrastructure in place, and we knew we could upgrade the level of offerings and service. Whereas, in a smaller market like Mesquite, there was a clear need in this growing town and the space availability to build from the ground up.

“Moving forward, however, we will be focusing more on building our own sites.”

The new 2.125 acre, 5,538-square-foot location in Mesquite was built by AP Global Contractors and designed by RPGA Design Group. The site offers express car wash services along with premium treatment options. Additional amenities include a 35-vacuum bay, microfiber towels, high-pressure air blasters, and tire pressure hoses at every stall post-wash.

Even more sites will be coming online soon.

Super Star Car Wash will open new locations in San Diego, California, and additional sites in Colorado Springs in the coming months.

Growing in size is important, but Rodriguez said Super Star remains focused on distinguishing itself from its competitors.

“You can get a car wash anywhere, but I think what really makes Super Star stand out is our incredible team members and the communities we are within,” she said. “This, of course, goes along with the ease of service we provide, the affordable membership options, the expansive vacuum bays and the complimentary touches (like dash wipes and air fresheners).

“Our top initiative for the coming year to really separate us, though, will be our outreach within the community and the work we are going to do to give back; being more than just a business but an integral partner alongside our neighbors working to make each community a better place.”
