Staff Report
Splash Car Wash, headquartered in Milford, Connecticut, recently announced the acquisition of two Auto Wash locations in Geneva and Batavia, New York.
The acquisition brings Splash’s location total to 45 in New York State and 71 total sites in four states – Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont.
Both locations will be converted over to Splash Express locations throughout the next few months with the addition of new equipment and added self-service vacuums.
“We will continue Bobby Marchenese’s great tradition of customer service and add some of the features Splash offers at its locations,” said Dan Petrelle, CEO of Splash.
“We’re excited to expand our footprint in the western New York area.”
Harry Caruso of Car Wash Advisory was the advisor on the transaction.
In addition to these new additions, Splash has four new express washes under construction. Two are in Newburgh and Nanuet, N.Y., and one in Springfield, Mass., with anticipated openings in the late fall 2025.
The fourth location in Syracuse, N.Y., will open in the first quarter of 2026.
Founded in 1981 by Chris Fisher and Mark Curtis, Splash Car Wash began with a single location in Greenwich, Connecticut.
Since that time, Splash has grown into the leading car wash platform in the Northeast United States, with more than 65 locations across Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont offering full-service, hand-wash, express, and self-service options, as well as oil, lube, detailing, and other automotive care services.
