Soapy Joe’s Car Wash, San Diego’s largest and beloved family-owned car wash chain, recently announced the acquisition of Mira Mesa Auto Spa.
Mira Mesa, located at 10641 Camino Ruiz in San Diego, was set to close on Sept. 3. The acquisition underscores Soapy Joe’s continued growth as San Diego County’s largest, most convenient car wash network.
Soapy Joe’s helped pioneer the membership-based unlimited wash model that has reshaped the car wash industry nationwide.
With this acquisition, the company continues its mission of making car care easy, affordable, and accessible to all San Diegans. The company now operates 25 locations countywide with aggressive plans to continue expanding across all reaches of San Diego.

Upcoming expansion beyond the Mira Mesa acquisition include: San Marcos – Grand Reopening in October 2025; Mission Gorge Santee – Opening later in 2025; University Ave – Opening in Q1 2026; San Ysidro West – Opening in Q1 2026; and Poway – Opening in 2026.
By mid-2026, Soapy Joe’s will operate 30-plus locations throughout San Diego County with an strong location development pipeline continuing to fuel growth into the future.
