Dencar’s ‘Street View Marketing’ opens new avenues for car wash operators

Dencar Technology has come up with an innovative new marketing approach for car wash operators based on identifying potential new customers.

The latest development to come out of Dencar is Street View Marketing, which debuted at the Southwest Car Wash Association trade show via Dencar’s sister company, Carwash Communicator.

It is based on the premise car wash users don’t veer far from their regular routes when choosing a wash location and transform that information into a hyper-targeted marketing opportunity.

Street View Marketing harnesses the power of license plate reader (LPR) technology, marries it to a proprietary database, and delivers names and addresses for vehicles that drive past a car wash site.

Operators set parameters – for example, “vehicles that drive past my wash twice a day” – and the database produces a resulting target list. A simple invitation is then mailed to the frequent drive-by, inviting them, should they be in the neighborhood, to try the wash.

Street View Marketing, in development for 2025, solves the problem of how to grow an established membership base.

“It is a standalone product we are developing and marketing,” said Dencar co-founder Phil Marquart. “As we work to get the program into the market, we’ve established what we call the Founders Club. It includes beta pricing for operators willing to give it a wider test and give us feedback.”
