El Car Wash continues its Florida expansion with the addition of five new stores to its portfolio through the acquisition of Johnny Clean Car Wash.

ECW remains focused on expanding across Florida, with particular emphasis on high-growth markets like Orlando, Jacksonville, and South Florida.

The company’s strategy continues to be a blend of strategic acquisitions and greenfield development, allowing it to densify its presence in key regions while also entering new, underserved markets.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

When paired with its development pipeline and previously announced acquisition of both ZIPS’ Orlando area stores and Wash City, ECW now has 25 locations open in Central Florida with many additional openings in the months ahead.

Over the last 12 months the company has added 40 new locations as it continues to expand its reach.

“John Shullman is an industry legend who has built and grown high-performing stores operated by an incredibly talented team that fit perfectly with our geographic focus and quality-orientation,” Geoffrey Karas, Co-Founder & CEO of El Car Wash, said in a statement.

“We’re thrilled to welcome the Johnny Clean customers and team members to El Car Wash while achieving another milestone as we strive to build the leading car wash brand in every market that we serve.”

The newly acquired stores are located at the following addresses:

  • 4918 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33417
  • 7011 W Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32818
  • 13655 E Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32826
  • 11052 E Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32817
  • 7147 Merrill Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32277

The newly acquired locations will be rebranded and enhanced with ECW’s signature offerings. To celebrate, the company will introduce exclusive, limited-time promotions for new members and host grand opening events at select sites.

Existing Johnny Clean members will be integrated into ECW’s store network and now have access to all its sites.

During rebrand the newly acquired sites will be closed for several days, but members will be able to access the large ECW network during that time. The rebrands will also be staggered to minimize customer interruption.

ECW has more than 400,000 members and 80 locations across Florida and Michigan. An addition 15 are slated to open this year.
