Mike’s Carwash may not be a giant among car wash operators, but it continues to demonstrate why it remains a success since its founding in 1948.
The car wash operator founded in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and based in Loveland, Ohio, was recently named one of America’s “Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” by the National Association for Business Resources.
The NABR, based in Warren, Michigan, represents small to medium-sized businesses and provides resources, best practices, employee survey data and guidance on compliance issues and growth initiatives.
It’s annual “Best and Brightest Companies To Work For” Award identifies and honors companies that deliver exceptional employment practices and demonstrate an impressive commitment to their employees, including offering competitive compensation, flexible work arrangements, and comprehensive benefits.
The award considers several employee-related variables, such as leadership, business strategy, company performance, community relationships, corporate responsibility, recruitment, and work-life balance.
Mike’s Carwash scored at or above national averages in several key areas, including:
• Ensuring all team members have what they need to succeed in their roles.
• Process for hiring in a fair manner.
• Selection process for identifying the most qualified candidates for each role.
• Communication of performance expectations.
• Commitment to contributing to the local communities in which we serve.
“What’s important is that this award validates our commitment to the values guiding our teams daily,” said Joe Dahm, President of Mike’s Carwash.
“We were thrilled to hear that our team members value important qualities we hold dear, such as a sense of teamwork, our fun culture, opportunities for learning and growth, and our local outreach.”
The company is known for its state-of-the-art car wash technology, friendly customer service and its dedication to the communities it serves.
Mike’s has locations in Evansville, Fort Wayne, Jeffersonville and Mishawaka, Indiana; Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio; and Florence and Louisville, Kentucky.
