As part of a new growth strategy, Summit Wash Holdings has expanded into a new state and with a new brand.

Founded in 2022, SWH has until recently had operations in Connecticut, New York, Nebraska, Missouri and Florida and has operated a pair of brands – Russell’s Speeder’s and Waters CarWash.

The company last month opened its first site in New Jersey and debuted its newest branding – a Speeders Car Wash location in Mountain Lakes, N.J. The company said it plans to open eight locations in the state by the end of the year.

Moving forward, all new SWH locations and acquisitions throughout the Northeast and Midwest will feature Speeders branding.

The rebranding of legacy Russell Speeder’s locations will begin during the second half of 2025 in a phased approach, the company said.

“The addition of Speeders is an exciting milestone for Summit Wash Holdings, marking a significant evolution in our journey while paying tribute to the Russell Speeder’s brand that customers know and love,” Jason Baumgartner, Chief Strategy Officer, said in a statement.

“We’re excited to expand our innovative car wash experience to Mountain Lakes with our first location in New Jersey. This expansion is a key part of our strategic initiatives, reflecting our commitment to innovation, exceptional service, and exceeding customer expectations.”

Since its establishment in 2022, Summit has seen remarkable growth.

In 2023 alone, the company opened 24 locations (four in Omaha, 13 in Florida, and seven in Connecticut). In 2024, Summit added eight more sites (three in Florida and five in Connecticut), bringing the total number of locations to over 60.

By the end of the year, the company hopes to surpass 80 locations nationwide, solidifying its position as an industry leader.

Summit also continues to enhance its offerings with the addition of Reflection, a proprietary product blend featuring ceramic and graphene. Reflection combines advanced materials into a single product that delivers a mirror-like finish, UV protection, and improved durability.

Initially launched in the Southeast last year, Reflection has been introduced in all locations across all brands as part of Summit’s commitment to continuous improvement.

Russell Speeder’s was founded in 1963 by the Shullman family. Following its formation, Summit has continued to focus on growth in its core Northeast market while also increasing its presence in Florida through the acquisition of Waters CarWash in 2022.
